This Privacy Policy describes how Swad Ghar Ka, operating as AmbeMart ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use our website (ambemart.nl) and services.

  • Delivery Information: Your delivery address, including street, house number, postcode, and city.
  • Order Information: Details about the products you order.
  • Communication Preferences: Such as whether you opt-in for WhatsApp updates.
  • Account Information (only if you create an account): Your email address, how you log in (Google, Microsoft or an email link), your saved delivery details and your order history.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Process Your Orders: To prepare your order details, communicate with you via WhatsApp for order confirmation and payment, and arrange delivery.
  • To Provide Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries submitted via our contact form or other channels.
  • To Improve Our Services: To understand how customers use our website and identify areas for improvement (using aggregated statistics from Google Analytics, only if you consent to analytics cookies; see section 4).
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: To meet requirements under Dutch law (e.g., for bookkeeping).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We use Formspree to process contact form submissions. Formspree has its own privacy policy regarding the data it handles.
  • With Supabase: If you create an account, your account, saved details and orders are stored with Supabase, our database provider, on servers in the EU.
  • With Resend: We use Resend to send login emails and to email us the details of orders placed through your account.
  • With Google or Microsoft (only if you log in with them): They confirm who you are and share your name and email address with us. We do not share your orders with them.
  • With Google (only if you accept analytics cookies): Website usage statistics via Google Analytics, as described in section 4.
  • For Legal Reasons: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

When you order as a guest, your order details (including name, address, phone number, and items) will be transmitted via WhatsApp when you initiate the order submission. WhatsApp's handling of this data is subject to their own privacy policy.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Functional storage (no consent needed): To keep your shopping cart between visits and to remember your cookie choice, we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is not used for tracking. Your saved cart is kept for up to 14 days. If you log in, we also set cookies (starting with sb-) that keep you logged in until you log out.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent): If you click "Accept analytics", we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., to see in aggregate how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited most. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_MJ42Q7W1EB, which are kept for up to 13 months. We have turned off Google signals and advertising personalisation, and we do not use this data for advertising. Google may process this data in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. If you click "Reject", Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

Changing your choice: You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we remove the Google Analytics cookies. We ask for your choice again after 12 months.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including processing your order, providing customer support, and complying with our legal obligations (e.g., retaining invoice data for tax purposes).

If you have an account, we keep your account and saved details until you delete your account. Order records are kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires; when you delete your account, they are no longer linked to you.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Right to Erasure ('Right to be Forgotten'): You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limitations.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to Object: You can object to certain types of processing.

If you have an account, you can view and correct your saved details and delete your account yourself on the "My account" page. To exercise any of these rights otherwise, please contact us using the contact form on our website.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.
